About the Presenter
Judy Beahan, MSW, LMSW currently serves as the Clinical Manager for Crisis Care Network, the largest provider of Critical Incident Response Services to the Workplace. CCN responds 1000 times per month following workplace tragedies to facilitate employee and organizational return to productivity. Judy received her Master of Social Work from the University of Wisconsin in 1987, served 10 years as Clinical Supervisor and Account Executive for a regional Employee Assistance Program in Wisconsin. In 1997 Judy became a licensed clinical social worker in Michigan, has maintained a therapy practice since that time and has served on crisis response teams. Judy joined CCN in 2011.
About the Program
We are facing unprecedented leadership challenges in these times of economic downturn and workforce reduction. Employers not only need to lead with less, they need to refocus their surviving workforce quickly in ways that will remove obstacles, reduce stress, and create a vision of strength for the future.
This presentation will review strategies to boost resilience and minimize the emotional toll on managers and employees in our current environment. The presenter will offer tools to assist you in helping workers move forward—creating a stronger workforce and better, more empowering mangers.
The presenter will challenge traditional beliefs surrounding change, offering instead an attitude of gratitude and strength. They will highlight the value of changing your perception as a path to changing your intention as you focus on what can be achieved in the future.
Participants will:
Be able to define and identify the vital role that the EAP can play in helping a workforce remain resilient during challenging economic times.
Highlight effective ways to inspire managers and employees to grow stronger and move forward despite economic turbulence and unsettling change.
Formulate workable strategies for dealing with the impact of change on managers, employees, and Human Resources departments.
Participants will have a chance to ask questions.
