About the Presenter

Sanjay Vaswani, MD, CMQ
Vice President & Medical Director, California Service Center - Commercial Division

Dr. Vaswani currently serves as Vice President and Medical Director for ValueOptions. He is responsible for clinical oversight of operations, quality improvement, staff training, provider liaison and client consultation.

He is a Diplomate to American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology in Adult and Geriatric Psychiatry and serves as an Expert Medical Reviewer for California Medical Board. He is board certified in Medical Quality by American Board of Medical Quality. His areas of expertise include clinical psychiatry and substance abuse treatment. He has served as Assistant Clinical Professor at UCLA, Department of Behavioral Sciences.

Dr. Vaswani’s participation in organized psychiatry and advocacy for quality patient care and recovery is noteworthy. He has served on multiple committees at local, state and national levels in academic and organized psychiatry and has done multiple presentations at American Psychiatric Association, American Medical Directors Association and American Association of Geriatric Psychiatry annual meetings.

About the Presentation

The presentation will outline the prevalence of Depression and its impact on workforce. Types of Depression, Risk factors, Suicide and other implications of Depression and available management options impacting the quality of life will be reviewed.
