About the Program
A one-hour seminar designed for EAP staff based upon the concepts found in Helping Conversations:
- People can change. They have resources within them to alter their life circumstance and resolve problems.
- We are more likely to help a person change their behavior when we focus on what is strong in him/her and not what is wrong.
Participants will be introduced to strategies for change:
- We are more likely to help a person change their behavior when our conversations focus on what persons would like for themselves… their preferences, hopes and intentions.
- One of the keys to motivating a person to be at their best lies in how we as helpers interact with them and teach them to manage their preferred view.
Participants will have a chance to ask questions.
