Avoiding and Coping with Burnout


About the Presenters

Facilitator – Frances Berry

Frances Berry received her master’s degree in mental health counseling and her doctorate in counselor education from Idaho State University in Pocatello, Idaho. Frances currently resides in Georgia and acts as a consultant creating, editing and updating mental health related trainings and informational articles. Previously she worked in EAP and coaching services for ValueOptions for 4 years, and prior to that was a professor of counseling at the University of North Carolina-Pembroke.

About the Program

During this one-hour teleconference the trainer explores the origins of burnout syndrome and examines some of the reasons that burnout occurs, discusses personal characteristics and coping skills for dealing with burnout, and gives instructions on starting a personal action plan for coping with burnout.

Upon completion of this workshop, participants will understand:

  • What burnout syndrome is
  • Why burnout occurs
  • The personal characteristics that avoid burnout
  • Healthy lifestyle skills which will help control burnout
  • How to develop an action plan for coping with burnout

 

Participants will have a chance to ask questions.
