About the Presenter
Facilitator – Deborah Loffler
Deborah Loffler, studied for her bachelors degree in Psychology in Mexico City (Universidad Iberoamericana). She then went to NY where she received her Masters in Forensic Psychology at Johns Jay College of Criminal Justice (part of CUNY). Ms Loffler worked in NY for 3 years as a case manager at TASC (Criminal justice Agency in the Bronx) with the mentally ill, criminal, and substance abuse populations. She also worked part-time in New York Forensic and was responsible for applying psychometric tests as well as conducting the clinical interview and backgroundfor the minorities population to write reports. In 2002 Deborah returned to Mexico, where she worked for 1 year in HR in DuPont Mexico. She was then invited to manage the EAP developed by DuPont. After three years in that position, Deborah was recruited in 2006 to manage ICAS Mexico in conjunction with Intersistemas (the Mexico company who has the licensee partnership with ICAS International).
Right now Deborah is the ICAS Mexico Manager and undertakes several responsibilities, as operational manager of the call center, as well as a Dedicated Account Manager. Most of the companies that she manages are international companies (Michelin, Johnson and Johnson, Scotiabank, DuPont, Hewlett Packard, Unilever, Ernst & Young and Bank of America).
As EAP services are not well-known in Mexico and other LA region countries and there are no specific trainings for these kind of programs in these countries, she has been trained by DuPont EAP leaders and ICAS International team. Deborah is involved in creating the awareness of EAPs in Mexico.
About the Program
The goal of the presentation will be to familiarize the participant with EAP services in Mexico and with resources that are available. Deborah will present an overview of EAP services in Mexico today, providing a brief history of EAP services in Mexico. She will cover the challenges, the successes, and trends in delivering EAP services throughout Mexico. Participants will learn about how services are utilized in Mexico and other Latin America regions and explore how that differs from the US.
Participants will have a chance to ask questions.
