About the Presenter

Facilitator – Sharon Ward, LPC

Sharon L. Ward, MS, is a Licensed Professional Counselor and  National Certified Counselor.  She holds a Bachelors degree in Psychology from Texas A&M University and a Masters degree in Counseling and Human Development from Texas Woman’s University.  Since 1994 she has worked with a wide variety of individuals during her graduate training & postgraduate employment, both with non-profit agencies and in private practice.

About the Program

This one-hour webinar will provide statistics, DSM-IV TR criteria, warning signs and risk factors of eating disorders for both men and women. Also covered will be medical screening issues, treatment modalities and outcomes including team approaches, resources, and more as time allows.

The objectives of the presentation are as follows:

  • Acquire a fundamental knowledge of signs and symptoms of eating disorders and disordered eating
  • Learn concrete tools to help address food and possible eating disorder issues
  • Increase awareness for opportunities for prevention (as time permits)

Participants will have a chance to ask questions.
