About the Presenters
Facilitators – Bob Mitchell, LPC
Bob Mitchell is a Licensed Professional Counselor. He is a graduate of East Carolina University and holds a master’s in Counselor Education. Bob has been in the counseling field for over 20 years. His work experience includes agency work, university counseling, and working with foster parents and emotionally disturbed children. In a private practice setting, he worked with marriage, family, and individual clients. For the last 10 years Bob has been delivering EAP services to employees and their family members on behalf of ValueOptions. Currently Bob is working as a HPS Telephonic Consultant/Senior Coach associated with a small development team in the HPS Corporate Department. This team has been responsible for the development of three new websites and two new offices: MySessions.net associated with the Telephonic EAP Office, LifeCoachConnect.com associated with the ValueOptions Coaching Office, and WorkplaceConsult.com. On a day to day basis Bob works in the development and operation of these offices and as a HPS Telephonic Consultant/Senior Coach providing EAP services and Life Coaching over the phone to employees and their family members on behalf of ValueOptions.
About the Program
This one-hour teleconference presentation will provide an in-depth look at sleep deprivation and its effect on workers and the workplace. The presenter will provide the following information:
- The importance and mechanics of sleep
- Stages of sleep
- The definition of good sleep: Length of time and quality
- Lack of sleep and sleep debt: Medical and physiological
- Sleep and the workplace
- Maintaining good sleep habits
- The role of EAP in assisting with sleep problems
Participants will have a chance to ask questions.
