About the Presenters

Facilitator – Carolyn Lee, LCSW

Carolyn Lee is a clinical social worker in a private psychotherapy practice in Raleigh.  She received her bachelor’s degree from Duke University and her MSW from the University of Michigan’s School of Social Work.  She also studied for a year at the London School of Economics.  While training in Michigan, Carolyn worked for 2 years in an inpatient unit and a partial hospital program for individuals suffering from eating disorders.  Carolyn worked for 7 years at Alamance County Mental Health Center in Burlington, NC on the Counseling Team and in the Adult Psychiatric Day Program, providing individual, family, and group psychotherapies for severely mentally ill persons.  She is certified is psychodynamic psychotherapy, completing the three-year Introductory and Advanced Courses at the Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy Study Center of North Carolina in 2002.  Carolyn was the clinical coordinator at the Lucy Daniels Foundation in Cary for their study on therapy with visual artists.  She is the mother two boys, ages 2 and 5 years old.  Carolyn is originally from Summit, NJ, and has lived in the Triangle area for 17 years.
