About the Presenters
Facilitator –Matthew Schiff, MD
Matthew Schiff, MD, is a board certified and fellowed Child Psychiatrist. He is a Clinical Professor of Psychiatry and Child Psychiatry, and Educator of Child Psychiatry Fellows at UMDNJ Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. He has experience in outpatient, pediatric hospital consultation, special education and school consultation, specialized evaluations (forensics, disability, custody), IOP, MICA, PHP, IP and private practice. He is also an experienced conference presenter and author of articles, columns, and book chapters. Currently, he works four days a week full-time as ValueOptions’ Medical Director for New Jersey (age 0-21) where his primary responsibilities include:
- Focused study of 600 children with developmental disabilities-mental health needs.
- Teacher and case consultant to a care coordinator clinic staff
- Chair of the child psychiatry ValueOptions Corporate Written Guidelines for ASD
- Member of the Value Options Corporate Autism work group
- Committee member
- Three and under children requiring psychiatric medication, psychopharmacological, and best evidence committees
