About the Presenters
Facilitator – Brandy Iams
Director, Tobacco Cessation Services – beBetter Networks,Inc.
Brandy Iams is the Director of Tobacco Cessation Services for beBetter Networks, Inc. Brandy has served in this role for over three years, with a total of over eight years experience in the field of wellness and health promotion. Brandy has served in various capacities in worksite wellness including an Employee Wellness Coordinator for a health system with over 1500 employees, thus bringing a unique perspective to her role with Tobacco Cessation Services. She has experience in developing and administering successful tobacco cessation programs for diverse populations ranging from the public health sector to private corporations.
Brandy is a Certified Health Education Specialist with a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Physiology and a Master’s degree in Health Promotion from West Virginia University. She has attended and presented at numerous National and World conferences on tobacco prevention and cessation. Brandy has worked with organizations including the WV Bureau for Public Health, WV Medicaid, CIGNA, BCBSNC, Novartis Consumer Health, National Jewish Medical & Research Center, Roswell Park Cancer Institute, Information and Quality Healthcare, RR Donnelley, UMDNJ, and many more. Brandy is an active member of the North American Quitline Consortium, the National Network of Tobacco Quitlines, the Wellness Councils of America, the WV Cessation Committee, the Coalition for a Tobacco Free WV, and the National Wellness Institute.
